The Westport Company
is the importer and U.S. distributor of exclusive area rug designs by Manjit. The designs are inspired by the sophisticated European styling that marks the designs as uniquely Manjit, whose rug shops in New York became the Mecca for lovers of custom needlepoint and flat weave rugs. Since the opening of her showroom in 1980, Kamdin Designs in New York City, Manjit has received requests for her designs from various parts in the USA. Manjit now offers the same look as needlepoint rugs at fraction of the prices.
Manjit's designs have been featured in leading decorating and shelter publications including New York Magazine, New York Times, Town & Country, and Country Living. Her rugs have appeared in many showcases such as Tiffany's and Kips Bay.
Company headquarters are in Metropolitan New York City. Warehousing and shipping facilities are in North Charleston, SC.
